In any relationship, its very important to communicate your real feelings - openly. Along with verbal communication, there is an equivalent importance of non-verbal communication acts. To keep your relationship happy and healthy, you need to enrich your skills of interations. Humour in communication helps resolve conflicts: Jokes, comody routines and fun episodes reduces stress, frustation and makes the persons feeling relaxed. Playful communication: Interactive play is not a competitive game. We are not playing win or lose game. This should be a joint investment. Humour reduces frustration & stress: If you are stressed, your communication will definitely end up into a conflit. Either do not communicate while you are stressed. Relax first a little, reduce your stress before you communicate in relationship. Or, involve humour and payfulness in your communication. This will indirectly help you reduce your stress and your listner will not get irritated. Listen: During arguments, we often wait for our time to speak & not really interested to understand what other persons is saying. If effective communication is going to take place, we have to really listen to what the other person is saying, even if it is something that we may not like. Listening and repeating what you heard, is the best way to ensure that you have actually “heard” what was intended. And if done so, the message / reason of communication is achieved. ![]() |
