Losing weight is tricky subject and a challenge for many of us. What is the best path? The method that helped others, will it help you? Its proven that the quickest / toughest path is different for everyone. There is no thumb rule which works out for everyone. Loosing weight doesnt means compromising your health. Being healthy is always important. Follow few suggestions:

  1. Set small, realistic goals. If you have a lot of weight to lose, try for 5 pounds, relax a bit and then go for 5 more.
  2. Start a regular exercise program and follow it.
  3. Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
  4. Prepare & eat healthful, low-calorie foods that tastes you. Loosing weight doesn't means eating food which you call "rotten".
  5. Eat smaller quantity wise and more frequent meals. This increases body metabolism so that calories are burned faster.
  6. Keep a note of your diet. This will help you to choose & improve your diet.
  7. Lose weight with a friend or join a group. This will help keeping your motivation level.
  8. Don't go fat free. You need to have some fat in your diet to stay healthy, so giving up all fatty foods all the time isn't a good idea.
  9. Drink more and more water or other sugar-free drinks.
  10. Watch out your drinks - sodas, juices, colddrinks etc. cutting out a can of soda or one sports drink can save you 100 calories or more each day.
